The Global Music Therapy Project harnesses the power of music to empower individuals worldwide. Our board-certified music therapists provide personalized therapy sessions, using music to address a wide range of needs. We also create and record accessible music to support therapy in communities everywhere. Through education and advocacy, we're committed to expanding the reach of music therapy and transforming lives through its therapeutic benefits.

The Global Music Therapy Project uses music to help people worldwide. Our nonprofit offers music therapy to make a difference to individuals of all ages and backgrounds. At the heart of our work are our board-certified music therapists, who lead group and individual therapy sessions tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of each client. Through the therapeutic use of music, we strive to address physical, emotional, cognitive, and social goals, empowering individuals to reach their full potential.

A core aspect of our mission is the creation and recording of music to make it more accessible. Our recordings are designed to support and enhance the therapy process both in our local communities and around the globe. We are committed to expanding access to music therapy through education, advocacy, and outreach initiatives. By partnering with schools, healthcare facilities, and community organizations, we strive to raise awareness about the benefits of music therapy.

Hi, my name is Angie Kopshy. I’m the co-founder and CEO of The Global Music Therapy Project. As a result of our work, our clients experience deeper joy, profound connection, and infinite humanity through the power of music. We work with colleges and hospitals, building heart-centered organizations and institutions for the people this world often forgets. Are you or anyone you know ready to sing a new song that can help change the world?

We are ecstatic to announce upcoming projects. Our podcast, Cue the Magic: Sing a New Song, launches in January 2025. Bingo, our primary fundraiser, hits Portland in February of 2025. We are constantly recording more songs and creating videos accessible to kiddos, so subscribe to our YouTube channel for updates.
